The Dream that Lingers

Waking to loss,
a sorrowing that runs a thread through the day.

The dream
lingers,
like foggy mist clinging
to the trees.

Even as the sun struggles through the grayness.

Dreaming of the beloved, and
of a life that is not,
may not ever,
Be.

Let Go

Let go.
Let your sorrows and fears drift on the wind, float away.

Let go.
See the world with new eyes and fresh hope,
For a new dream, a dream realized, a dream fulfilled.

Some day, some day soon,
Your dream will come floating into your life,
As light and as gentle as a feather.

That dream will be yours to keep,
That dream will be your own to cherish.

Let go so that your empty hands can receive,
And your lonely heart be filled with love.

Let go.
Bless me father, mother, god
Hold me in your light
Let me be gentle and kind and fearless.

Let go.

To Have Faith

"The wound is the place where the Light enters you. ~ Rumi

In the face of loss and sorrow it is hard to remember grace, to understand the why. Rumi's quote reminds me that while I may not know the why, may never know the why, there is a reason and I must have faith.
